Pinacoteca Albertina is one of the oldest cultural institutions in Piedmont. Examples of centuries of Italian and Flemish art await you here: from the masterpieces of the Renaissance workshops to the more recent works by masters and pupils of Turin’s Accademia di Belle Arti.
Founded in the 19th century at the behest of King Charles Albert of Sardinia, the Pinacoteca consists of two important donations: the painting collection of Vincenzo Maria Mossi de Morano, numbering over 200 works, and the Cartoni Gaudenziani collection of 16th century preparatory drawings.

VISITING THE GALLERY
Visiting Pinacoteca Albertina is a unique experience that will introduce you to the Renaissance panels of Filippo Lippi and Maarten van Heemskerck and the Caravaggesque paintings of Gregorio and Mattia Preti and Bartolomeo Cavarozzi. Its rooms will also bring you face to face with the masters of the Accademia Reale of Turin: from the Collino brothers, famous 18th century sculptors, to Giacomo Grosso, professor of painting in the 19th and 20th centuries. As you will see, his female portraits and famous nudes are highly compelling.
Pinacoteca Albertina adheres to the "Born with Culture" project
The Pinacoteca Albertina of Turin promises to take you on a journey of discovery into the beauty and elegance of art history. Why don’t you come and see us? Thanks to our special workshops you can also become “painters for a day”!
