The following spaces are not wheelchair accessible: Battistero, first and second floor of the Museo del Castello, second floor of the Territorio, Scavi di Pyrgi, Casa della Legnaia, Torre Saracena.
Access to the Torre Saracena is not allowed to children up to 6 years old, people with heart condition and pregnant women.

HISTORY
Constructed from the 14th century onwards on the ruins of the old Etruscan port of Pyrgi by the sea, the castle has a quadrangular plan and is fortified by towers and a moat surrounded by three concentric walls that also enclose a village and the early Christian church of Santa Severa. A wooden bridge connects it with the Maschio, a large cylindrical fortified tower.

Visiting Rules
Within the village:
- dogs on a leash are allowed (only outdoors, not in the museum spaces)
- cycles are not allowed (except for piazzale Fontanile)
- smoking is forbidden outside and inside the museum spaces
- amateur photographs and shooting are allowed both inside and outside the museum spaces
- Visitors are subject to body temperature control: if the temperature is less than or equal to 37.5 °C you can enter and visit the spaces that are open to the public or museums with a pre-purchased admission ticket.
If the temperature is above 37.5 °C, access is not permitted. - It is compulsory to wear the face mask
- Visitors must maintain an interpersonal distance of 2 metres, both outdoors and indoors.
