The Museo Diocesano is one of the most symbolic places of the cultural wealth and time-honoured charm of the city of Turin.
Housed in the magnificent Cathedral of the capital of Savoy, it conserves important traces of the history of faith in art form.

VISITING THE MUSEUM
Reopened to the public in 2008 after the tragic fire that damaged the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, the museum is located in the Lower Chapel of the 15th century Savoy Cathedral. Its bell tower offers one of the most stunning views of the city and the Alps.
The museum was designed like a historical account of the church as told through its works.
The exhibition is organised into three themed areas which represent three important moments in Christian life: Baptism, Communion and the cult of the saints.
Your visit will take you on an absorbing journey into the history of art beginning with the first Paleochristian finds and continuing with paintings and sculptures, precious silvers and rare fabrics.
A climb up the 15th century Cathedral Bell Tower is an absolute must. Forty-three metres high, you’ll feel like you can reach out and touch with your own fingers the dome of the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, Turin’s other monuments and the crown of the Alps that embraces the city.
The Museo Diocesano is a little treasure trove waiting for you in Turin city centre. Why don’t you come and see us?
