A short distance from the historical centre of Ferrara, the National Museum of Italian Judaism and Shoah (MEIS) retraces over two thousand years of Jewish history in Italy. A continuously evolving exhibition housed in what was once the city prison.
From a place of imprisonment to a space for meetings and exchange: this is the story of MEIS, a museum dedicated to the history of a population that has lived in Italy for 2,200 years. An ambitious project, which emphasises the value of dialogue among cultures, hosted in the large redeveloped urban area of the Darsena.
