VISITING THE FOUNDATION MERZ
The Foundation is dedicated to the great artist Mario Merz and was opened as a contemporary art centre in 2005 with the aim of hosting research projects, studies, exhibitions and educational activities.
It is located in the former central heating plant of the Lancia workshops, a significant piece of 1930s industrial architecture owned by the City of Turin and located in the heart of Borgo San Paolo, a district that has undergone major urban and cultural redevelopment works in recent decades.
Directed by Beatrice Merz, the Foundation alternates exhibitions dedicated to Mario and Marisa Merz with site-specific projects by Italian and international artists invited to reflect on the exhibition space and its contents.
Don’t miss the chance to visit Foundation Merz. From here you can continue your journey of discovery into charming and mysterious Turin.
