The magnificent Reggia di Venaria is the heart of an immense complex on the outskirts of Turin, a masterpiece of architecture and landscape declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
More than 80,000 square metres of monumental building, 50 hectares of royal gardens and 3,000 fenced-in hectares of the La Mandria Natural Park, have made this Royal Palace of Savoy the favourite hunting lodge between the 17th and 18th centuries: a Baroque magnificence that it is up to you to discover.

HISTORY
Designed and built between 1658 and 1679 by architect Amedeo di Castellamonte, the Reggia di Venaria is one of the main Savoy residences in Piedmont. Commissioned by Duke Carlo Emanuele II as a base for hunting trips in the surrounding area, it has subsequently undergone numerous modifications, which have brought it to its current appearance.
True jewels are the Great Gallery, the Chapel of Sant'Uberto and the Citroniera, designed in the first half of the eighteenth century by the genius of Filippo Juvarra.
The Reggia was returned to the public in 2007, after eight years of work that made it the largest restoration site in Europe.
VISIT THE PALACE OF VENARIA
Don't miss the Venaria Reale, a masterpiece of Italian Baroque and one of the most fascinating places in Piedmont. Here you can admire works from other Savoy residences, visit great international exhibitions or stroll through the splendid Italian Gardens.
What awaits you is also a perfect synthesis between ancient and modern, with the suggestive video-installations by Peter Greenaway and the contemporary art sculptures that animate the "Garden of fluid sculptures" by Giuseppe Penone, as well as a rich calendar of exhibitions, parties, games and shows.
The Venaria Reale today is a true Reggia for contemporaries. After discovering it for the first time, you will have endless opportunities to return to it. We are waiting for you!
