A guided tour in the majestic villa overlooking the sea of Capri, facing the panorama of the Gulf of Naples. The summer residence of Emperor Tiberius, Villa Jovis is today an archaeological site where culture and nature enchant visitors from all over the world.
Villa Jovis is probably the largest of Tiberius' twelve villas on Capri. The first excavation campaigns date back to the Thirties of the last century, when the imposing remains began to resurface, showing a structure similar to a fortress, but also a place of summer otium. Two thousand years after its construction, many questions about the real configuration of the villa remain unresolved. The guided tour of Villa Jovis, which you arrive at after a walk among the most characteristic views of Capri, is an opportunity to recall, together with an expert archaeologist, the original splendour of the rooms, such as those of Tiberius' private accommodation or the calidarium, and immerse yourself in an atmosphere of great charm.
